Recently 8 Explorers from South Central Area Command participated in the annual Central Coast Law Enforcement Explorer Competition in Paso Robles, California. The 3-day event featured scenarios such as Felony Traffic Stops, Building Search, DUI Stop, Domestic Violence, and Vehicle Search among many others.
Our Explorers placed in the following events:
2nd: Building Search
2nd: Female Advisor Obstacle Course
4th: Nighttime Suspicious Person
5th: Hazardous Response

The LVMPD Explorer Program exposes young adults to a career in law enforcement by matching their interests in four specific areas: Crime Scene Investigation, Corrections, Dispatch, and Police.
